    • We posted a new story a couple of weeks ago, saying we were working on re-branding a long established local business the the picturesque village of Thornton-le-Dale.

Well we can now reveal the finished frontage of this charming and thriving bakery, cafe and tearoom.

Its Baldersons of Thornton-le-Dale and they are over the moon with their new look!

Check out our portfolio section where you'll find a pic of their new logo.

Responsive Web design basically is the term for designing sites that respond to the user’s choice of browser and platform. Nowadays people search, look and interact with the world wide web on PC's Macs, Tables, Smartphones etc - each device can have a different screen size and/or orientation. A responsive website consists of a mix of flexible grids and layouts. As the user switches from their laptop to iPad for example, the website should automatically switch to accommodate for resolution, image size and scripting abilities. In other words, the website should have be built to automatically respond to the user’s preferences. This eliminates the need for a different design (and ultimately, a different website) for each new gadget on the market.

We can produce basic sites using this technology but can integrate a whole host of add-ons should they be required, including: e-commerse for online product sales, booking calendars for hotels, Guest Houses, B&B's etc. Ticket Sales for events, and many more.

If you would like your website upgrading to a Responsive website or perhaps want a brand new website using this latest technique, please get in touch. We can offer free advice and a free no obligation quotation. We also offer monthly packages with no up-front charge - ideal for new starts when cash flow is tight.

A lot of people talk about getting the 'January Blues' this month, but we certainly don't suffer from that! - we are in full swing with high spirits at the start of 2016 and have been producing lots of January promotions for clients.

One project for example, is a series of promotional posters for a long-standing, loyal and 'great to work with' client of ours - Thomas the Baker.

We are currently re-branding one of the longest standing businesses's in the most picturesque village of Thornton-le-Dale in North Yorkshire.

When re-branding in rural towns and villages you've got to get the balance right. The client obviously wants to 'sparkle' with their new image but we can't go too modern otherwise it would look out of place. So a great deal of care has to be taken when designing a new logo - the fonts and colour scheme are very important too and need to strike a balance.

      But which business is it?

All will be revealed soon - we'll post before and after pics on completion to let you decide if its been a job well done.

Search engine optimisation or "SEO" refers to the process of improving the position your website appears at in the "organic" search results returned by sites such as Google.

One of the key tools that search providers such as Google employ to determine your rankings are 'spiders'. A spider is a piece of software that crawls the web in a methodical, automated manner. They browse through sites on the web to identify the actual text written on pages along with things like the use of key words and phrases which can be placed in code that isn't seen by normal browsing. This data is then used to determine the relevance of your site when someone enters a keyword or phrase into Google or any other search engine.

We offer a number of SEO packages to suit different demands and budgets. If you'd like your website to rank higher in Google's listing in order to gain more hits and potentially customers/clients, get in touch with us... we will give you a 'no-nonsense' explanation how it works and what we can do.
